Hey guys just wanted to show ya my new car that I got for $750.00 full working order and even pass emission. I have replace a lot of little things like sparkplug wires, oil filter, fuel filter, rotor cap, rotor, tires, mechanical oil gauge and did some rust body work to it.
Besides that, the car came with a new radiator, muffler, battery, radio plus speakers, new sparkplugs and a fully working A/C. Which I needed to convert the A/C R-12 to R-134a and it works like a charm.
After replacing all this stuff, and still haven't replace the air filter I am getting about 20-22mpg. The funny thing is today I when to full up the car and I still had enough gas to do a few miles before have to refuel. I had 222.5miles since I fulled up last time. So, I am assuming I could have made easy 230miles total before needed to get gas.

By the way the car color is white color code WU. Which I been having problems searching for the pain. Wescos charging me $58 for the first can to be made and $10 dollars each additional can.

damn you got about the best deal ive ever seen, i got my 83 gs for $800 and i thought i got a deal, your is MUCH cleaner and probably runs better, though mine did come with almost $2k in extras. lucky guy, i love fb's in white

Actually I been thinking of leaving it stock and cleaning the car up from every inch I can find. Also retore it and keep it the way it is for now, that is the plan. However that could change but for now the car is great the way it is. I killed a few small rust problems already today and I been considering on repainting the car with the same color code in the near future to keep it all original.

 

Good job. White is the way to go for an rx7 to me. looks pretty clean. Take good care of her.

 

Keep it stock man, it's too clean to go messing up. Find one that's a better candidate if you need to mod something. Clean that up and sell it on Ebay and you'll probably get enough cash to pick up a more "moddable" car, and pay for all of the mods as well. Just my thoughts on it. Awesome find man!

 

It looks like they did a good job on the stereo installation too (didn't tear stuff up), so you could return that to stock if you really wanted to go all out.

 

Thanks to all and Kentetsu. The car is great and maybe clean enough but I dout it would stay like that since I like the car, and modification could be done later on in a few years. for now just keeping it cleand. stock and driving it as a daily driver. Right now money is an issue trying to make this car a collector or a modified car and I dout is clean enough to be a collectors.

The car needs the door panel to be replace, some rust areas need to be touch, the back carpert is old and needs to be replace, and I need to pain a few areas on the car. I did some rust fix on it and now need to pain the car. however, there are areas that I need to make sure to check and stop any rust that is starting.

But for now I will enjoy is nice car that is way cleaner than the previous one I have owned.

 

Wow, beautiful car. How many miles does it have on it? It looks so clean.. and so new based on the pictures. Whoever you bought it off of took amazing care in it from what it looks like.

This car had 120K when I got it thats on the body and original engine and still driving Strong. I been working hard trying to keep it looking good. I will continue on my spare time improving on little areas to make sure it stay clean and as much rust free as possible. Even if I have to buy a lot of rust conversion can to spray all over. lol However, this car have barely any rust compare to my old one which I did do a lot of work on before I had sold it.

If you can keep the original paint job it will be more collectible in the future. A repaint devalues a collector car a lot of times, but sometimes its unavoidable. This one looks like the paint is really still very sharp. I would bet with a lot of elbow grease and clay and sealers and polish it would look really good. Nice buy.

 

yea I agree but with doing rust fix on areas that affect some of the pain of the car, I have no choise but to pain over it. Also I am doing the work my self, I woud rather have my car rust free and get it repainted than to lost the car due to rust. Just my opinion or I could be looking at this wrong?

The other thing is that this car it would be very hard to keep as a collectable when I have to use it as a daily drive. Not to meantion I seen cleaner Rx7 that could be collectables. So, I am not to worry about making this one a collectable unless I find one that is super clean with low miles then I would make such a car a collectable also if is rust free.
