NA = 193.9 HP and 141 TQ

Just had my car dyno'ed again. 193.9 HP and 141 TQ. I'll post a copy of the print out as soon as I can get my hands on a scanner.

Here's a link to a previous test, before the addition of my Microtech LT10. During this test I made 184 HP and 135 TQ.

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...1&page=1&pp=15

For you guys with custom intake manifolds/independent throttle bodies, can I make more HP with a custom intake setup or is there another reason that you've done this? I don't want to switch over to a carb.

That's some NICE numbers, ESPECIALLY with the stock UIM and LIM!
Congrads man - you need to pat yourself on the back for such an accomplishment!
This is especially so since people are pushing going with ITB's or a custom intake manifold just to get the the last few HP's to break 200.

It's a streetport. It' matches up real close with the Mazdatrix template.

Damn

looks like my car still has some potential left in it, even before I go standalone. So you have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and new fuel lines? My car keeps leaning out up top even with upgraded secondaries

The fuel pressure regulator is stock for an S5 intake. There's nothing special about the fuel lines.

I take it you are RObet B?

Give us a full list of all your mods and maybe pics. I'm super curious about your build.

Do you have VDI?

What fuel control?

Do you think HAM is good for you?

Streetported S4 with S5 rotors and intake manifolds (this means I have the VDI)
Stock (460) primary injectors and 550s for the secondaries
Racing Beat full race exhaust (the old one that collects into a single presilencer)
Cone style intake filter
Black Magic electric fan
Unorthodox Racing underdrive pulley
Microtech LT10 (should've got a LT8) is the fuel / ignition controller

I use the air pump to open the 6 ports and VDI with fish tank valves.

I'm still trying to find a scanner to scan my dyno charts. I have 2. Incidentily, the tuning was done by Ray at PFS. Superb job.

I believe God told Peter that ham is good. So, yes it's good for me.

Could you elaborate? How do you control when they open, and what exactly are these fish tank valves?

That's pretty neat actually. Good job. Where did you make peak power?

That's the key right there. Standalone makes lots of things possible.

Considering that Kahren hit 185 or something rwhp on stock port and standalone.

Nice job.

Nice numbers, have you tried using the s4 manifolds to see if there is any difference? I had s5 manifolds then swapped to s4 and felt a significant difference and my mods are simliar to yours.

Whoa awesome, this almost inspires me to do all this except for the cost of parts and tuning. =P (its not that I'm cheap its just I'm paying off 3 credit lines and my car still and numerous other debts) =P

buzz2, nice #'s man. Overall, how does the car feel? I can only imagine how much fun a 200whp N/A would be.

I used to have S4 manifolds but swapped out to the S5 manifolds. The S5 manifolds are much nicer in the powerband and I do have a streetport.

Might be because i'm aux bridged that my car likes the s4's more. Didn't you mention something about the s4's having bigger runners than the s5's, being more ideal for a bridge or something along the lines of that?

Here's a link to a page with the same valves I use

http://www.pets-warehouse.com/Vpasp/...cts.asp?id=57#

check SKU # 1083814104

I bought mine at a regular aquarium supply store. I cut two holes into the air pump hose and routed vacuum hoses to the VDI and 6 ports with a fish tank valve inline for each. I set the valves to fully open the VDI and 6 ports by 4K rpm. It's not a precise sort of thing but it works.

I tossed the S4 manifolds. I never heard of anyone replacing S5 manifolds for S4 manifolds. I figured since Mazda did it, and the S5 made more HP (w/ higher compression rotors and VDI), that the S5 manifolds flowed more. I could be wrong. I never tried the other way.

Now I'm thinking about ITBs and custom manifolds.

Thanks, the car feels great. I'd describe it as being somewhere between a stock T2 and a stock FD, but a lot closer to the FD. I've lightened it up a bit. I pulled the sound deadener, the radio and the AC. It was a base model so it doesn't have a sunroof. Also it has a 4.33 rear end from a GTUs. I've pegged the speedo at 150, but who knows how fast that really is.

I wanted the lt10 because it was setup to receive an input for a wideband O2. But I found out that the MT wideband was like $400 or more. I'm pretty sure you can get a WB cheaper. Maybe I have it wrong.

Have you thought of isolating the filter or anything of that like?
