Spiking oil pressure

since i last changed my oil. the oil pressure guage seemed to be spiking of the chart.
only when i hit wot past 5 grand the pressure spikes.

i changed from 20w50 to 10w30.

it might be the thinner oil or guage.

but my question is has anybody encounter the same problem?

Two possibilities come to mind.
Debris in the oil pressure regulator - very unlikely.
A bad oil pressure gauge connection - more likely.
To verify, buy a generic oil pressure gauge and temporarily install it.
