S4 TurboII found dirt cheap

So i found this TurboII this guy wants to sell. It's an 87, red, power windows (ick), manual rack, all kinds of goodies that my S5 NA just doesn't have.

Now, when the guy last ran it, the alternator siezed and it stopped dead in it's tracks pretty much. It is also leaking some accumulated amounts of oil behind the front pulley. Guy has the new o-ring for it, but based on what i have seen i will probably need more than that to get this replaced. He also mentioned something of a bushing being out in the rear diff, but i didn't have a jack to check.

It's got a fairly worn interior, a cracked windshield, a dent on the passenger side and a missing passenger rearview mirror... It is not unbearably horrible, but it's nowhere near as good as the S5.

Anyways, is this car worth buying and fixing for a grand? If not, what about engine swaps? I have searched a bit, but doesn't seem like too many people are jumping on the bandwagon of getting an S4Turbo to put into their S5NA...

how bout just converting all yer good condition parts from the S5 to the TII S4? Hell, you swap out all the body panels if you wanted to.

I definitely could put the white S5 stuff into it... don't really want to cut up the orange one, it's just too cool to destroy.

Does anyone know why an engine starts to leak oil behind the pulley? Could it be from just having so many miles (~150K) or is it more likely to be something amiss inside?

When I had a leak near front of my engine near the pullys it turned out to be a bad CAS gasket, check that out.
