Arrow Brakes Dying

Ok well for the past few days every tiem i drive after a good 20 minute of normal traffic my brake pedal becomes softer and softer and needs to be pushed further and further down to stop. At some points I almost ahve to touch the firewall to even slow down. My father and the haynes manual believe my master cylinder is going since im not losing/lacking fluid. IS there any other possibility or way to test the cylinder.

I would aslo like to know a bit more about swapping in a more powerful cylinder. You see I have a base model and am planning on swapping in the 4pot setup (its sitting in my garage) eventually. I am told it help to have the brake cyminder from a car with the 4pot setup but am not sure about a few things

If i swap in the 4pot cylinder will it damage or not work with my current 2pot setup?

If I swap the cylinders will I have to swap any of the other brake lines in the car? Specifically the hard lines that run through the car.

To swap in the 4 pots you gotta get the 4pot MC and brake booster for it to work properly. 4 pot brakes with a one pot setup aint a good idea.

My question was will I be able to use the 4pot cylinder/booster on my 1 pot setup temporarily. I am still also curious to know whats wrong with my brakes to begin with.

Is the brake master reservior losing fluid?
If not, it's most likely the brake master needs to be rebuilt or changed - the internal seal is dead, and the fluid is just bypassing the seal causing the brake pedal to slowly drop to the floor.
Because the fluid is just "circulating" inside the brake master, the fluid does not leak anywhere.

do it right or don't do it at all

4pot MC + 4pot brakes

or

1pot MC + 1pot brakes

i wonder if mixing and matching would **** up your brake bias.

i wouldn't **** around.
