My used engine has 88 and 89 housings
I just took apart a used engine I bought to refresh it, and I just realized the housings are not the same. One of them has a little hole on top of the Trailing plug, and the plugs are more far apart.
Won't this affect timing?

I wouldnt purpose build one that way, but it would run and shouldn't ever have a problem unless you're trying for mega hp. However, if you'll lose sleep over it, now's the time to take care of that.

Off to ebay then.
Thanks for the input though.
BTW Kevin, can you tell what year the housing are by looking at the pic NA/Turbo?
