to4r FD vs gt35/40 FB

I have 3rd gen to4r turbo with .84 hotside on a large streetport my mechanic has a gt35/40 with 1.06 hotside with stock ports, who would win in a 1/4 mile race. He thinks he would as a .84 housing is too small to give any decent power in the upper rev range any opinions?

He will probably win if your both running the same boost since the first gens have a significant weight advantage.

I think the 1st Gen would win too, because of the weight advantage in combination with what should be a broader powerband with the 35/40

We shall find out on Monday when we hit the drag strip providing the weather is good..
My car is still untuned as such it's running a very conservative map until I get to the rolling road on the 19th May. I want to run 1.1 bar should 400rwhp be attainable with a .84 hotside at that boost ?

Actually I made a mistake it's a .96 a/r housing not .84
I'll only be running 12 psi on a conservative map, I think my mechanic will be running I think 1.4 bar as he has no boost control.
