Question Does anyone sell RB products at a discount?

Does RB do wholesale? Anyone know if it is possible to get any of their products at a discount through a reseller? Thanks.

Internet vendors have ruined me. I can't imagine the possibility of having to pay retail.

Aww no. I can't believe I am actually going to pay retail for something.

Oh well, I hope they don't gouge on shipping...

Yeah, I guess I will give them a call. I didn't want to call and ask, "Hey, could you tell me where to get your parts at a discount? I really don't want to pay your prices."

Depends on where you live of course. Call them with your postal code, they'll be able to figure it out. Or they'll give you the weight/size of the package and their postal code, so you can figure it out.

If your gonna go with a new RB dual exhaust set up and a decent paint job, be prepared to earn about $2,500.00. Assuming current minimum wage standards minus your 30% off the top for Uncle Sam /State taxes (FUTA/SUTA too)...You'll need to log in at least 694.5 hours to pay for it. Assuming you have 12 weeks to work in the summer- you'll need to work at least 57.87 hours per work.

No sweat!

For some reason I'm depressed now.....
I'm putting in a application tomorrow, better get started early so I can shave that 57.87 hours down to about 45..
I can't decide what to do, the hood and roof of my car have horrible paint, but the sides only have 1 scratch per side, and the rest looks brand new..I don't know how it faded and oxidized only of the roof and hood though.

So I can just get them to paint the roof and hood and have a nice car, or get them to paint it all and have a show car..

Well a patch paint job would be less, for sure. But sometimes it isn't so simple to match old paint, even if it is a factory paint code. You put a fresh coat of paint on the top, and the sides will look 'dull' or not as nice as the top.

The whole dual kit via mazdatrix is $770.00 smackers..Not including shipping.
http://www.mazdatrix.com/getprice.asp?partnum=16422
Figure $850.00 when your done (if new)

Keep your eye peeled for used deals. I found a dual system (used but in great shape) for like $350.00

If you think Maaco does a good job wait till I post pics of my car. The car would look better if the previous owner had never painted. Spend a little money and get a qualilty paint job.

If it is faded and oxidized, why don't you get some compound and use a little (ok, a lot) of elbow grease and you will be surprised at the results. Do a very small area first to get a feel for it.

I love Maaco, but my paint is already cracking and peeling, after being painted in Freakin' January. I will use the 1 year warantee to the limits! I've already gone in once, and will be going back for many more times to come. I would say let someone who knows what theyr doing do it. Spend the extra $300-400 and let a pro take care of it. My Maaco was $600 including dent removal. A pro would do it for $1k, and it would be smoother and overall better quality, considering they would use the best of products and most likley blast it for you.

Well the problem is, it started from the middle of a few spots and worked its way out (before I owned the car).
Like on the roof it start near the back, and it's spreading out fading and oxidizing, but now it's pretty much down to bare metal where it started...

Picture edited to save your eyes and to protect identity of the dogs.
And that isn't my tag anymore, if thats what you're thinking...Sadly that one had to go back to the original owner of the car.

You could put a glass roof on it to cover that area

Then just buff the **** out of the rear roof w/real compound, followed by rejuvenator or wax or whatever you have, and wallah!

You could put off the paint job until you can afford to do it right. You get what you pay for with bodywork.

Check the 1st gen for sale section, people are always selling exhaust stuff.

As for the paint - mine's oxidized in the same places - supposedly it's cuz those areas (roof, hood, etc.) are exposed to the most sun, which caused the lead in the paint to heat up, etc. etc...

I'm not worried about the looks just yet, would rather have it running great first. At least with crap paint, no one thinks of stealing it, and it's definately a sleeper.

I've waxed/buffed it a few times and it didn't help much, but I'll try some compound and stuff and see how that works.

Ludicrous I agree with you on having the car running good first before looks, but, as far as I know, my car only has cosmetic problems..the engine with less than 72k miles runs fine and everything seems great...So right now it's, thankfully, just cosmetics and upgrades.
Heres another crappy pic, these are the day after I got the car and was just taking a few general shots, I should have some better ones later.

Instead of getting a Maaco job, I think I'll try to talk my parents into paying for half of a good paint job, since they agreed to spend $3500 on a car for me, and I got mine for less than $2000..
Hopefully they'll take the bait
