Kyle, since you're not too far from Austin, I HIGHLY recommend coming down and talking to MZM. I'd say go to DFW if you were closer, but I know MZM is as good as any up there and they are closer. Were you saying .81 turbine A/R? Cause if so, thats a bit small...

not real sure what the .81 was, he wrote some specs on the back of a card. says, .81 (p) what about the turbo on the web page? I heard of mzm, I always go to pro-tech though, they've took my car from stock to where it is today.

The AR .81 P-trim is comparable to the AR .84 divided P-trim housing, which is very acceptable on a stock ported motor. The .96 on the turbo from cheapturbo will spool a little slower, but make more power up top. If you plan on porting your motor, I would see about getting an AR 1.00 divided P-trim. If you are staying with the stock port you should get the divided AR.84 P-trim. Coupled with a good divided manifold the divided housings will spool up quicker. As far as T66 or TO4S, if you are looking for 400rwhp on fairly conservative boost 15-16psi, go TO4S. If you are looking for 450-550 on higher boost 20-25psi, go T66.
Kyle, I'm in Killeen
You're welcome to swing by anytime if you need help with the car or just want to BS around.
home is 254-634-4930 but you can usually catch me lurking around here, nopistons, or on AIM. I haven't seen any FDs around...a few 2nd gens here and there. Hit up the south forum sometime.
As far as the turbo, I agree with IGY. There really isn't too much to add. You just need to figure out what you really want out of the car and if you are going to port it in the future. A new exhaust housing isn't that expensive to swap out if you want to go to something larger if you port the motor in the future. I can tell you first hand that 400rwhp is plenty in a street driven car....and more than enough to deal with the locals that i've seen so far.

hey whats up, Yeab I plan on doing a street port when I do a rebuild. The only real reason why I like the majestic turbo is becasue they showed me the internals of a mitsubishi turbo and their's. it sucks lol, 270 shaft, they use a 360 so more oil goes through, stronger, more durable, and lightened compressor wheels so it comes online 600 rpm quicker and a little more boost. I'll go back and see if they have any thing bigger than .81 p trim but as far as quality they look to have their **** down. Thanks for the advice. im kinda flying blind when it comes to turbo specs.
