Where do I fill the tranny oil?
Where do I fill the tranny oil?
Hey, does anybody have pics of where I fill up my tranny with my new shipment of redline
I don't want to jack up the car until I know right where I'm looking. Thanks!

Or maybe you could remove the shifter if it's an '80 or older and pour it in? I've done it that way before. It should take 2.5 quarts. Or, if you're not sure, park the car on level ground and pour untill the oil level is centered on the output shaft. Do it slowly because the oil is thick and takes a while to flow through the tranny. If you can see the front of the driveshaft through the hole after removing the four 12mm bolts, or the three 10mm bolts, that's where to pour the oil.
Heh, here's a disclaimer for you: It works perfectly on the ribcase tranny in my rotary MG Midget, and the '79 smoothcase tranny in my REPU.

the way people do it on race cars is cut a small circle in the floor up by the pedals just big enuf for a hose to go down there.... i understand you guys dont wanna rip apart you street cars but im sure theres a way you could cap it off and make it look nice. just an idea.
