Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read my posts. Today I installed my new intercooler. This thing is huge the core is 12" x 24" x 4" thick with 3" inlet and oulet. After a serious consultation with my engineer, he calculated that changing the intercooler would increase the efficiency of my turbo significantly. Here are some install photos.

Sweet work and car! You have your high and low beams in opposite places. Low beams (the projectors) should be on the outside, high beams (refractor leanses) inside. Unless you don't have state inspections or care about people constantly high beaming you.... or its a track car

Thank you for the taking the time to read my post. Just installed D2 Racing Sport coil overs. Installing these coil overs was very easy and straight forward. I will have to raise the car significantly tomorrow evening.

Above. That's black silicone that I going to remove this weekend. Please pray for me.

For good measure I also heat wrapped the 4" down pipe. Also check out my lower intake manifold heat shield that I made.

Here is some very usefull information on what tubo exhaust. My turbine housing uses a cone that is incorporated in the flange, so it goes from 3.5" to 4.0". Hence the 4"piping

Here is a close up of the tapered cone looking down the bore into the throat of the turbot's exhaust port. Note how the pipe is properly sized and properly centered to maintain high velocity turbulent-free exhaust flow out of the turbo for the purpose of heat extraction and maximum flow enhancement.

Turbine Exhaust Gas Theory.

Where the tapered cone section begins the exhaust stream will be allowed to expand. Allowing the exhaust stream to expand also causes the exhaust velocity to drop and the exhaust gas temperature to drop. Additionally, a significant heat load is transferred to the exhaust pipe itself. If the pipe dimensions are setup up correctly, an "expansion chamber" effect can be realized much like how two-stroke motorcycle exhaust systems are designed to operate. The benefit from this is a "scavenging effect" where the exhaust is "sucked out" of the turbo or at least backpressure is reduced to a negligible amount. It is the goal to exploit this simple and "free" exhaust extraction technique by deliberate designing it in from the beginning rather than later like all those who follow will do if the execution of this theory proves successful.

The tubo above is for demo purposes only to show the cone.

Here are some more photos of the intercooler piping. I'm using 3.0" piping for the inlet and outlet. I ended up only using 4 silicone hoses for the intercooler piping b/c I did not want to have any pressure change.

So youve got about 2" between the road and your canister. Recipe for disaster on any surface. Fab work looks great though.

In my quest to have one of the lightest FD on the street I got some new parts to replace the OEM parts. Hood and trunk by Seibon. Window by FAL. I finally got the Pure Power Oil Filter and 5 gallons of 15/40 oil. Yes those are the Nitto Invo 275/35/18 with 18x9.5 +45 RPF1. I would like to say a special thank you to the people at Vivid Racing, Kelly from PurePower, and Terrance from Nitto for all their help.

Great news. The carbon fiber parts came in today from Shine Auto Project. I must say the finish is first class. I got the wheels and tire mounted on the car today. Finished cleaning and installing the intercooler and radiator piping. The wheels and tire combo make to car look great. I will be installing the carbon goods in a few days. Hear are some photos that I have to share.

Thank you for reading my post. What I do for a living is not really important. The truth is I have a palm treo 755p with a great list of friends. I happen to know someone who is the greatest engineer and fabricator that has adopted me. I know the nitto rep., the intercooler company, the turbo company, etc. Do not be fooled that this did not happen over night, this build has been going for the past 3.5 years. What you see is the result of one hard working U.S. Marine.

Also are you going to the RX7 BBQ in November cause i would love to see your car there. And the last thing is, is your engineer located near south FL or is he Central? Great Build Btw

Today I removed the driver seat to clean the carpet and scrubbed the hell out of the door. I also installed the hatch and hood.
