Andy is still alive and kicking. The exhaust system is geting built by an engineering firm that does a lot of fluid dynamic reseach. My old system was good, but this one is a lot better..

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I'm using a set of Magnaflow prodotype mufflers that are rate to 2000 degrees F. I've used their standard muffler for years without any problems. They make quality mufflers, it is only a matter of selecting the right one for your application

Today the engineer installed the Center muffler on the car and it fit like a glove. The system system has a minimun amount of bend. I will have photos up in 2hrs.

On a 13B streetport.....N/A.....I ran 2 of the 4" round Magnaflow's as presilencers in a long-primary setup...thinking they would last....at least similar to the RB versions of the same size. After 3 mos., you could hear the packing in the presilencers (after removing from the car) sliding back and forth....like a rain-stick! Magnaflow said they would replace them, but that would mean 4 flanges for easy removal and sending them back 3 times a year.

Maybe they make their products more stout now, but I'm down for building my own these days!

looks like it is hanging a little low, how big is the canister? 6"? 7"? oval mufflers usually fill the most space in the middle, do they have an option for that?
no wastegate recirculation or does it just dump into atmosphere?

The can is 7" diameter. Oval is an option but, I wanted to go as big as possible. NO wastegate recirculation b/c I wanted more power and the intimidation factor.

magnaflow makes a 4inch in 5x11 oval x 22 case length for diesels, the 22inch case length fits perfectly in between the two factor supports. Looks like you got rid of the front support.
the width is too long, it hangs too low, if you can get them to make it 5x10 or 6x10 that will fill up the space best without it being too low, ask me how i know

The cans that I use are from Burns are 5.5" OD. I haven't begun to test that fitment out yet, but given that you're using a 7" then I guess that answers that.

Personally I think that you're going to be missing the mark on the "imtimidation" factor. But it's your car.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I know some people will say that I nuts, my goal with this system is to have the most quiet exhaust system possible. I want to go fast but I don't want anyone to hear me coming.

I dont think your exhaust will be obnoxiously loud, but i think you will find it to be less than quiet. From what I understand 4" exhaust are inherently louder than 3" exhaust as a 5" would be louder than a 4". Also, it's noteworthy that much of the noise produced by cars eminates from the intake as opposed to the exhaust. I don't forsee you getting exhaust tickets, nor do I foresee you sneaking up on anyone.

Your setup looks very nice, though. Good work and good luck.

what is the center muffler for? why not just make it a straight pipe from turbo to the back. btw those are some very nice welds and that is an awesome exhaust setup, you must post a video of startup + revs once it is complete.

Thank you for reading and posting. The center can is to help clean the exhaust note up and to reduce any drone. Once I'm done with the exhaust system I'll just be waiting for CJ-MOTORSPORTS to pick up the phone so I can order their dual fuel pump assembly. I need that part to start the car if anyone can help.

For noise cancellation I would ask this engineer/fabricator to instead do a split flow midpipe, basically two y's; 4" x 3" with 3" pipe connecting the y's. This will kill that nasty 4" pipe sound and if using well engineered and well made y's(like Dr Gas y's or perhaps Burns' y's) there will be little effect on hp. Then to knock it down a few more dB definitely go with the largest twin outlet muffler that you can find, with outlet pipes no larger than 3" (a 4" inlet and dual 3" outlet muffler).

Twin 3" will flow a ton, if you really want to kill sound and perhaps lose a tiny bit, make that mid a dual 2-1/2"

Thank you all for taking the time to read this post. Great news, the exhaust system is 95% complete. I lost one of the V-ban t-bolt and will need to order another one. I need to weld the EGT bung and also my PLX wideban O2 sensor. I will have photos in 1 hour
