Question anyone tryed rx8 rims on rx7?

I'm just wondering, if that rim would fit on rx7 fd. I think it would look pretty nice. Anyone has tried that yet?

If you got pics of them on rx7 that would be great.

I was considering it, although I feel they are too plain/strait-line for the RX-7. It would have to be a damn good deal for me to try them.

Aren't they narrow as hell? Like more narrow than the 16"s?

I think so. I think they got 225 on them, so I think it would be much narrow. Even if they are simple, I still dig the looks on the rx8 with those rims on though.

RX-8 rims are 18 x 8 and the offset is about the same.

I'm not feeling those rims on a FD. No lip, look skinny for the height.

I concur as well.

The lines just don't match and cheapens the wheels.

And the back...
The rears just look horrible with the wheels so sunken in.

I don't think it's worth it IMHO

They don't look too bad, alot better then I thought they would, but too narrow. Should be at be at least 9 wide.

I personally do not like them. I think that people are not bashing them just because they are from an Rx-8.

Just for fun let's try a social experiment:
I just made a thread over in the lounge asking for opinions. I believe that if these rims were aftermarket *most* would say some rude *** comments (lately it has gotten really out of hand here). Let's see if we are a bunch of hypocrites. Well, unless someone catches on and recognizes the rims but whatever.

Edit-
Well ok the first dude made me look like an *** ha ha

I don't understand why people would buy "factory rx8 wheels" that will most likely cost more than a nice staggered set of wheels. I think the rx7 looks like **** if the rear wheels arn't wider than the front. The car was designed for staggered wheels. Just my $0.02 CDN (opinion not worth as much as you americans but getting closer.)
