74lbs/min or 1000cfm Roughly, it will be at it's limit and that will assume all things are ideal obviously.
Intercooler sizing is like anything else on a turbo system it's a compromise. Best flow = no IC
A good compromise for you would be a core similar to what I have on my car 4.5x13x18 core is rated at 880cfm at 10psi and should give you a good compromise between flow and cooling.
~S~
That is quite a big intercooler and wouldn't fit with my vmount which is almost done. I already ordered my intercooler from Bell with a 3.5x11x12 which has a 657 cfm vs your core which would be 878 cfm according to Bell's site. Is it gonna be a restriction you think?

My core is slightly larger, I don't think your will be too much of a restriction. The 12" length will help you quite a bit on reducing drag. You also bring up another key element in selecting your IC and that is what size envelope you have to work with.

^What setup did you have before? Was it too big or too small? I'm running a Rotary Extreme Monster VMIC, what are your thoughts on that one? Too big or small?
I was running a large Godspeed intercooler before with a smaller air filter as well...

The pipes and outlets are bigger now as well as shorter and smoother. The core I'm running now is thicker then my old core and is much much shorter which helps reduce drag and volume. I'm not sure about the Rotary Extreme vmount, maybe Sean can elaborate.

Yeah I saw the pics of your new setup in the pics thread...uh oh, I think I may have to change HAHA. Well, I'm glad you're getting better response, 3800 isn't bad at all!
what size is your intercooler piping? 2.75 or 3"? What is the core size of the new one? Are your intake temps. still good? Looks nice!
Well, I could have placed 5th, but wasn't able to capitalize, so I finished 10th.

With any luck I'll have mine waiting for me in 3 weeks when I get back stateside. Last I heard from Brent though, which was about a week ago, he said they were still backlogged on parts of it but they were starting to get parts again or something like that. So HOPEFULLY I'll have it soon.
Mapped my car today, and got 425rwhp and the torque was 395
I have always had a high torque on my engine.
I only boostes 18psi, even if i got the FJO meth/water kit.
I will push more boost at end of season, when i got time to rebuild, if the engine fails.
Will post up some sheets, when i get home to norway, Had the car on the dyno in UK, and got a long drive home.

Sean/Ryan,
I've called a couple times and left messages and I've emailed and haven't heard back from you guys. What's up with my turbo kit? Have you finished and shipped it yet or are you still waiting on parts or what?

^Ouch, I hope mine doesn't take that long, I can't wait that long.
Sean told me that they're being jerked around by their turbo parts supplier.

I am just curious and maybe others are too, but how does this turbo stack up to the precision billet turbos like the 6265 or even the bigger 6765? Have y'all compared the 2 any?
guys i waited 5 months for my kit but it is worth the wait. These kits are beautiful and well crafted.
I was wondering the same thing about the new billet turbos. I got a few email for Sean at A-Spec about building me a 6265 kit. He said that turbo at about 1 bar will be good at around 450hp with a good streetport. I understand spool time comes in very close to the 500r and less then the the GT40. This turbo get a lot of talk on the DSM/EVO forums, and the results are awsome.

I don't think they are Yuri. If I can get ahold of a billet turbo, my 500R will be for sale soon......

Rich what billet turbo are you considering and where were you planning on buying? I was also thinking about getting a billet turbo. I was thinking about a 6262 with a GT35R 1.06 divided hotside. Maybe Sean has some thoughts Originally Posted by GoodfellaFD3S

I'm getting it through Sean, HP6265 is the plan. My friend Garrett with the silver FD (he rode in your car at the Gap for a quick spin) is looking into the 6262.
