I was told the Supra TT fuel pump was good to 500hp. This is not confirmed but word of mouth only. I do know that it bolts right in place of the stock FD pump...which is pretty sweet.

I used to use the Bosch, then sold it in favor of the SR Ultimate. It flows the most of any intank that I could find. Over 73gph @ 43psi......The bosch only flows 60gph at 43psi.

Yes, 500rwhp easily... And the pump costs around $475, which isn't bad. Don't be cheap when it comes to our fuel systems.

I'm using the ND fuel pump off of a supra and notice the fuel pressure drops after 5000 rpms...right when the wastegate starts to crack. I'm running a turbonetics 62-1 with a/r 1.0 exhaust....

w/o boost, it's set at 2.8 kilos(appx. 40 psi). It will go up to 3.8 kilos...and then fall flat on it's face.

I'm VERY disappointed in it.

...I guess it's time to run dual stock FD pumps now.

I know alot of the Supra guys run two of their pumps inline. You already have one, just buy another.

damn, we lost the link to max's site showing us that the apex pump sold by the rx7store is the same as the one Ray sells as his own when the forum went down.

My post go bye-bye too...anyways, I got a chance to confirm my suspictions (sp?) that the ND I am using is falling on its face as well. Installed a Defi fuel pressure gauge because I couldn't get anyone to ride in my engine bay and watch the fuel pressure gauge connected to my FPR while I made a WOT pull.

About 4500-5000rpm and boost greater than 8 - 10psi, pressure takes a nose dive big time! I've got the base (idle) pressure set to 45psi, under acceleration and low rpm's, the fuel pressure jumps right up to 75psi and holds steady, but shortly after the secondaries come online and start dumping significant levels of fuel to feed the beast, the pressure dives down below 50psi!!!

I should have time to install the dual intake setup Badog and I have been working on this weekend ... this should resolve the fuel pressure problem, will report back!!!

Dual intake?

If you mean dual pump, make sure you post some pics and give us pressure before/after the install

according to max's site, they've changed it and are using a different pump.
As well, the one max bought was somewhat modified to be a drop in replacement but i dont know if that justifies the $150 premium.

Im interested to know more about the new one! Ernie, respond damnit!
haha

You guys are crazy to pay that much for a fuel pump. The Aeromotive fuel pump is 1/2 that. I have the Aeromotive pump in tank and is not that noisy at all. I spoke with Aeromotive directly and they told me it was a great idea to put the pump in the tank. I don't think I could ever out grow the Aeromotive, and they even have one bigger than the one I got. I think they said it supports up to 1000hp N/A and either 700 or 800 forced induction. I also got the fuel pump controller so it is running on 9 volts at idle and crusing speed then switches to 12 volts with the old factory change over. When the pump is on 9 volts it isn't much louder then the RP pump I paid too much for before.

i am also using the aeromotive A1000. i have it mounted outside the tank. it is loud as all hell...but i was planning on doing the same thing as you 50tooslow...with the controler.
how do you have the inlet setup with a filter before it while in-tank? have any pics of it? just curious, because if i were to do it again, i dont think i would sump the tank and mount it externaly. anyone can definatly tell the car is NOT close to stock the way it is now with the lines visable...that was not realy what i wanted. i thought i could "hide" the sump and lines a little better.
