I'm running 550/1600 setup now, but just got a set of 550's bored out to 850 to put in the primaries.

pumps will be Y'd together (parallel), similiar to this:

link no workie.
i was asking about your fuel rails though. did you use the factory configuration or did you run a Y from the delivery line to the rails and then have the returns Y together via the regulator...?

linky workie for me?!? (big picture, 1.4Mb, maybe you didn't wait long enough for it to finish loading? my server has been getting slammed due to all the angry Mustang owners wanting to watch my slaughter of a mod'd 03 Cobra from a few weeks ago...hahahah...I must be getting hits from 5 different mustang boards)

Currently I'm using the factory config, I assume since you asked I'm likely to have better results with a parallel injector setup. That is the plan when I do new fuel lines (within the next month).

yup. Was trying to decide between AN8 and AN10. I think AN10 (the size of freaking gas station fuel pump hose) is excessive, but I would have the cleanest gas this side of the mississippi running about 8 gallons/min through the filter...

k

PS vosko - no use trying to hide it, I see you trembling.

i run a weldon 2015, great pump performance wise I have NO fuel delivery problems, but its louder than my 4 inch exaust at idle and cruise! it sounds like an aircraft retracting its landing gear, only louder!

i'll be switching to a dual bosch 034 or 914 paralell set-up this winter. those pumps are as quiet as stock and can support well over 600rwhp!

i used -10 to the pump and -8 the rest of the way up.

does anyone have a link to a good writeup though on the differences in what size return to use in relationship to your FP and size of delivery line?
one strange thing is happening to me. when i shut off my motor, my fuel pressure guage drops to zero imedietly. from my understanding of it, it should be holding. even if only at like 20psi....any ideas? did i run to large of a return maybe?
i also used -8 return just because i had extra sitting around and had a few fittings that i could make it work with, without spending MORE money on MORE lines and fittings...

I wouldn't go as far as to say I was tuned...**** I only had 1250 miles on the new engine with a conservative map I built basically from scratch...

Can't wait for a road trip to NJ...

The exact same thing is happening to me, originally I thought it was the Aeromotive FPR I bought that was bad, when I disconnected it and pressure tested just the lines it would hold 70-80psi no problem. So I sent that back to Summit and got an SX regulator, but I still have the same problem. Previously I had even pulled the rails, jumped the fuel pump on, and made sure there were no leaks from the injectors/rail.. there was none. Honestly this leaves me scratching my head, the SX regulator should hold at least 20psi in the lines at shutdown for a quite a while. So for now I pulled my fuel pump fuse and jumpered across it, that way when I switch the key to 'on' I can pressurize the lines before I try and start.. the down side is this bypasses the pump resistor and the car runs rich as hell at idle.

Matt

edit: I am also running all -6AN lines, for the return I just clamped the hose onto the stock metal return line so it can't be the line size that is the problem.

glad to see i am not the only one. sorry for you personaly though.

i dont know what to think. the line get presurized once the pump kicks on, that is not the problem. i am thinking that maybe there is not a one way check valve in the pump...

I don't know what to think either, I still think it is something screwy with the regulator type (the SX and Aeromotive are quite similar in design).. I mean, why else would it hold pressure when it is taken out of the equation? It can't be the pump then.

One other thing worth mentioning, I borrowed my buddies Sard regulator and tested with that.. guess what, that held the pressure after shut down. Only problem was it wasn't the type-r, so no pressure increase on boost, otherwise I would have kept it.

I use a PAXTON and it doesn't hold the pressure after shutdown either.

Well in your case it could be the pump, I am running the Denso/Supra pump so who knows.. only way to check is to test the system w/o the regulator and block your return line. If your pressure still drops then it is either your pump, or somewhere in your lines/injectors.
