I've had an early version of this one for about 20 years. I've built well over 50 cages with it and have 4 different dies for it now.

Thanks for your feedback. I was leaning towards buying JD2 brand. What would you recommend me for my first set of dies, the 90 degree or 180 degree dies?

Get 180 dies, my main ones are 120's and do 99% of what I've ever needed. I think 90's would be a little limiting somewhere along the line.

I have 5.5" and 6.5" radius dies and I use the 6.5's most of the time.

I love my JD2 model 4, I wish there were a few things that were different about it, but I would definitely buy a JD2 if I had to buy another one.
