Holy Spark Leak!
i was adjusting my idle yesterday ( witch was a **** cause the idle was all over the place ) and i ended up replacing the little metal "Clip" that holds the Coolant return in place ( on the TB ). I replaced it with an O ring because those little rings are a pain in the *** when your working on your car.. Anyhow after i was done it was getting dark out and i was letting the car idle to see if it smoothed everything out. When i looked down i saw friken electricity/Spark shooting to that O-ring/clamp, I was like whoa. When i reved the motor it was bright enough to light a portion of the engine bay. I have a set of magnacore wires that need to be installed so i guess now is the time..
Anyway my question was.. how much would leaking wires kill performance? is this the reason for my stumbly idle sometimes rather then all the time?

Simply....
..... a lot. I've had that happen before. I'm in the process of fabbing up some new wires myself. I'm trying to locate a place that sells the components so I can roll my own to the lengths I require. I want to use Accel, Taylor, MSD, or just the best I can find.
Hey admin, how's 'bout a "shorting out" smiliey?

that will totally **** up how your car runs. One of the boots must be going down on the wire instead of covering where it connects to the coil. Happened to me several times even with the new 10mm magnecore wires. Its called arking. The stock plug wires are THE BEST fitment if they were just a little thicker.

I had the same problem. HAd a wire that must have had a pinhole in it.. Was adjusting my idle and noticed the current jump across the wire to the oil filter.. I was like... Uh.. WTF? Anyway, it was giving me a headache with the idle.. Replaced wire; problem solved.
