jdm motor

Been looking to buy one for few months now n want to use japan2la, but brian hasn't pmd back yet. So looking on eBay n found this one. What u guys think?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/89-92-JDM-MA...a9c600&vxp=mtr

There's a vid on there showing a comp. Check needles hitting 120. Almost brand new!?!

Without even looking at it, I can tell you it's garbage. I'm guessing it's the same video we've all seen before of a guy doing a compression test the WRONG way. If the needle bounces up, up, up, then lands on 120, that's an incorrect compression test and you should run, not walk, from that engine.

Wait for Japan2LA to reply back. It'll take around a week for him to get to you, but he's worth it.

is it me or is the intercooler bent at the top?

i would pay them no more than 800 shipped. cuz seriously this is a huge fuxking gamble. it includes almost everything u need for a swap but that's if it works at all ... sure they don't charge a restocking free but it still cost 300 to ship it back.

that's not how u run compression test man ... its the same video we all seen a bizaillion times

Any specific reason why you want a jdm one instead of a usdm one? Just wondering is all, i just swapped a jdm s4 t2 into my car and i didn't even use the harness or manifolds, everything but the keg is usdm.

The baby took 9 months to arrive.
The engine from Japan2LA will be worth it too!

If you can get your hands on an NA block, to the 6 port NA-T.

http://www.aaroncake.net/RX-7/naturbo1.htm

http://www.aaroncake.net/RX-7/4PortLIMTo6Port.htm

You just need to find some TII parts and modify the TII LIM to fit.

^^true dat. Had a buddy make 280 whp with his budget na-t running stock NA ecu, boost sensor, and afm on only 5.5 psi of boost, tuned only with an s-afc and running 850 secondaries I think. If you find a decent n/a block I have all the t2 parts you would need except for intercooler pretty much. Lol

Many are making well over 400hp with no issues. It's all in how you build them.

Might want to try and get a usdm t2 for the same price. Essientially you cannot use the wire harness from a jdm engine unless you want to take on the task of cutting the harness and physically extending each wire by about 18 inches for it to fit to the stock location of the usdm ecu. if you usethe jdm ecu with the usdm harness, it wont work because the ecu's are pinned differently. So basically you are paying for an ecu and harness that you cant use

If you go to check that engine out, make sure you bring a fully charged battery and a compression gauge, and do a proper compression check.
