Similar yes, but the MSD is not rotary specific and its not plug and play for the FD.

On the FD with the optional harness you just unplug the an OEM harness and connect the HKS one between. Its a pretty easy install.

You have to splice into the OEM harness to connect the universal HKS one. I imagine its a fairly involved job, so I would say its not for a novice.
