Hey Michael, so i will get my car running before this weekend and want to help you gamma test your software (get it? ha ha gamma is after beta! [not gamma rays! ] ) anyways if you could send me a copy i will let you know, also the main question is if i can run my innovate motersports log works software at the same time as your logger and then maybey later also at the same time the wolf software and the autotuner software. make sense? just e-mail me a list of tests you want me to run maybey for compatibility with other programs or whatever and i can help next week.

There is still a long way to go with the software I have the frontend (what you see) sort of worked out. I still have heaps of the under the hood stuff to do. Like having your 7 painted with wheels and no engine. I may get a little time on the weekend. I have had so many interruptions this last few weeks.
Thanks everyone

sorry, i dont understand, i get the humor but basicly what are you saying, (logger or autotuner?) needs lots more work, i have the logger but havent tested it with compatability with the other program (innovate logworks), im sure your logger works well at the same time as wolf software live? and will it work also with the autotuner? or is the autotuner more like a patch to the logger? (would be cool to have one program!) thanks,
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy, The Autotuner (which needs lots of work) will do what the logger can do plus more.
The logger just logs all the data the wolf spits out when poked just right. The auto tuner will either spit out a file with points that need to be adjusted, or do the tuning for you..geezz I am lazy. Fuel only, timing tuning is a bit scary I will keep away from that for the moment.

Not that my car is running or anything but I tried to download this logger yesterday as it is something I have wanted for ages and I couldn’t open the file.
I installed wolf logger and when I clicked on the .exe file it came up with an error saying some file is missing? I installed the program to c:/program files/wolf 3d/wolf logger/a;lskdfjfl;kj.exe Is this ok?
hehe that is awesome

I used michaels logger with a narrow band. Now that i got the LSM 11 my friggin rear turbo went bang on me.....it literally diintegrated!thank heavens its the exhaust side and no damage to the engine per se!
I saw the tuner Michael is setting up it is awsome.
Chris, install the VB runrime file. Ie Michael has it on the web site too, Vbv6 if am not mistaken. Mine worked fine after!

I have a problem with the logger program, it works fine on my PC, but when i try to use it on my laptop it comes up with a message saying .DLL file MSVBVM60.DLL no found, any ideas on how to fix this?
My PC runs windows XP and my laptop runs windows 98 if that helps.
Thanks, Tahn.

Hi Tahn, Yes you need the Visual basic runtime files. I had to make a few adjustments to the program. I have found that sometimes when you free rev the engine the wolf no longer responds. Any problems let me know and I will find and fix them....a work in progress.

MIchael, you wouldn't happen to have a calibration table for a eb ford o2 sensor would you?
This the sensor steve from wolf told me to run but it doesn't read properly on the hand controller (0.00v - 0.02v).
Cheers, Tahn.

Your sensor must be wired wrong. If it is a bosch lsm 11 which I would suspect it is it will read ok. My guess is that you have it too far away from the turbo. Mine is 3 inches from the turbo outlet. The factory position. Orrr your motor could be way lean but my guess is that it wouldn't idle if it was that lean!

P.S. still looking for data on other O2 sensors any data sheets welcome I will convert them to cal tables

OK I have done some more work on my Logger after a few people asked about different widebands. I have a included a simple Cal Table Maker for linier programable widebands. It makes a file that can be picked up under the custom header in the logger. You can select Narrow, LSM11, Custom. This is a direct input from the Autotuner as I work on it.

well with michaels logger yes. with the wolf no. to my understanding, the wolf needs a voltage and a CURRENT from the lsm. now the wire in unit has the ability of generating an AFR readout using voltage and current from the LSM. the Plug in do no have the ability to read voltage and current. now for the wolf to just display an AFR the current is a must, and so the plug in unit not even with a simulator will ever generate an afr. since the present day wideband and simulators only give a voltage output!
is my understanding correct michael?
as such the new wolf software is pretty useless for the plug in users. if i cant read an AFR i might as well not bother with the wolf anymore. I might actually upgrade to an aem or halteck e11. How can you tune withoutout an actual afr reading? as such, the wolf in the plug n play version is just a fuel ignition comp.and thats all.

Yes George thats right. Pilot you should be able to connect your wideband with 20 AFR at 0 Volts and 10 AFR at 5 Volts then the custom cal table maker can make that calibration file for you and it will be access via the custom option.
It would be sad to see you leave the Wolf Forum I am considering writing a second serial port option for both the Logger and Tuner to help plugin users like yourself. However that being said the Narrow band input reads too 5 volts and maybe we can still use this fact!!
