wolf boost tuning

i have a wolf ver 4 and i am trying to get it street tuned. well i have just put on a new boost solenoid and i was just wantin to ask if anyone knows how to adjust the settings in the boost control part so that i can keep my car at 10psi. currently i have the overboost control set at 7 and the the over boost set on valve position and the valve position value at 100 which it get to 7 then creeps up to 10 then stays there but i feel the car is pulse when its holding. i see a lot of values that can be entered but all i really understand is the boost control side of things. the is boost trim by throttle position and boost trim by temp but the values i enter are what i dont under stand can anyone help me.

This is my understanding and how i set mine up (from memory).
The values you enter simply increase the amount of pulses the solenoid opens up in a given time. So the higher the value the more it opens, more pressure gets bled from the actuator line and hence more boost. First make sure the polarity is correctly setup. If more valve position lowers the boost then reverse the polarity (there is a wolf setting for this rather than swapping the wires over)

To set it correctly you would have to datalog the boost values and try and increase/decrease the valve position values until the boost is where you want it.

Easiest way would be setting the whole table to the same value and then work out where the spikes are etc. Adjust the boost valve position where the spikes and dips are to try and level it out.

It might be a good idea to turn all the trim tables off until the boost is setup correctly. And do it all on one day/night where the temperature is similar (colder temps see more boost)

Activate the boost solenoid over 40% load so the valve isnt pulsing when you're just cruising around off boost. And to get boost to build up faster you can increase the boost valve positions below a certain rpm before significant boost is made.

In order to set the boost do you need to drive the car or can it be done just reving it up? and how?

yes of course you need to drive it. You won't make any decent boost just revving it. If you don't have a laptop with the latest software to do some data logging just use your boost gauge and watch it closely. set the overboost setting about 2psi higher than the max boost. so to 12psi. You don't rely on this to set the boost because like you said it will pulse the boost valves.

Use the boost valve position table to set the boost levels.

Cool

Set the boost cut to approx 20% higher than your target boost pressure. If you can feel the car 'pulsing' as the engine is boosting, try a lower frequency in the setup until you cant feel it,but keep an eye on your boost pressure as sometimes by changing the freq. you can alter your boost level. Once the freq is et,the valve position table is your 'duty cycle' & is what you use to raise or lower the boost. By putting in larger numbers off boost will try to help ramp it onto boost that little bit quicker.
Cheers
