whats up everyone, i got a question regarding the pin size of the wolf 3D version 3 ECU/EMS.

i got a tuner buddy who was trying to set me up with a base map until my car goes into the dyno and his lap tops cable that plugs into the ECU was not picking it up.

he figures the pin size is not compatible, does anyone know what it is? i tried searching and didnt come up with anything. could the issue on not picking up the ECU also be due to the software not matching up with my version?

i did manage to acquire the version 3 software during my searches tho, so im set with that already.

any information you guys can give would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

you can't program a V3 like that.. You plug in the Memory plug and move your map to it. You then use the cable to connect the memory plug to the computer..load the map from the plug into the wolf3d program adjust the map ...place the modified map back on the memory plug disconnect....plug the memory plug back into the ECU and load the map from the plug into the main memory...

No direct laptop connection.

thanks for the reply and the information! this brings me 1 step closer to getting my ECU sorted out for the dyno

i looked over the ECU last nite and i found a black cartridge plugged in along with the cable on the other inlet. there are 2, one with the cartridge...one with a cable which IIRC connects to the hand unit. i assume the black cartridge is the memory unit you speak of, i will post a pic later today when i get home from work for verification.

sry for double post, disregard last entry it is the memory plug. i found a pic of it on the wolf 3D site.
