Angry Virus posing as My Programs

It has come to my attention that 2 viruses peddling themselves as programs I wrote. (does this make me famous????) Freqgengui and Rotary Pulse Recalculator are currently doing the rounds. If you wish to download any of my software please go to
http://www.angelfire.com/wizard/freqgengui/ just wait until I find the culprit GRRRRRRRRRRR better have his flack jacket and flame suit on..
I am not pointing the finger at this forum at all but you guys use my software so I only wish to protect you. I actually found them while seaching every persons computer connected to Limewire. So there are about 500 machines with these viruses. Please everyone if you use Nortons Antivirus (because I have seen it broken) or No Virus scanner there is a free AntiVirus scanner at www.Grisoft.com

Cheers

I also fix computers for a hobby and just about every one has Nortons on it. Nortons Security Suite is its own worst enemy. It doesn't allow partial downloads of virus definitions and people using dialup connections never finish all the downloads before the jump off the net. This means next time there is 2 downloads then 3 and before long a new Virus smashes the machine. I have seen this way too often.
The best solution for a virus scanner is a program that only allows preset known programs to run...no virus definition required. It's called Linux
What the virus has done is attach itself to the front of the file and keep the file name. The give away is that now the program become longer than before, thats if you notice that sort of thing that is. Linux does. (Linux is a alternative operating system to Windows)
