i've got two units and one *seems* to work and one for sure doesn't.

the unit that seems to work is a W3D40589 (PNP).. the other non-working unit is W3D42586.

i'm fighting with a rear leading coil / rear injector problem so i'm 100% sure that my primary ecu works... but does anyone have ideas about the lack of RPM/Tach signal on the backup unit?

 

check the pickup sensitivity and pickup settings?

 

i'm running the same map - so it should be fine... right?

 

just double check, who knows if it reprograms that stuff when you load the map

 

possible wiring diffirences between the 2 units

are you just plugging the pnp into the universal harness or vis versa?

 

its a php unit crackhead :P

 

i wonder if i have the 2nd injector turned off; how could i tell?

 

something else i noticed this morning...

ALL 4 inj lights will flicker on the ECU but only igniter 2,3 flash - 1 & 4 do not.
is this normal operation?

 

alright - tested wth the sock ecu in place.. same results
no spark on the rear housing(L & T)

 

i reall should change the title - the newer unit doesn't work at all;
the gauge cluster doesn't show rpm,oil pressure... i think the backup unit died ;x

 

You, should stop worrying about other peoples questions, if you are such a pro stop asking freakin questions , and worry about fixing your own ecu , since you know so much, it actually sounds to me like you need somebody to hold your hand while you **** .

Look rico.....this forum has been a good site and source of info for a long time. Nyt and co are veterans on the wolf. Kindly stop any aggressive remarks on this thread. ps,

my pnp does the same re the flashing lights. all four are on..... but only two flash. i don recall the numbers but IRC 1&2. 3 &4 are paired together.
