Single or Dual channel wideband?

Right now i have an '87 t2 (running wolf 3d v4) and need to get it tuned. There is a chance i might get a good deal on a used Dual channel AEM uego o2 controller... Is it worth the money or am i better off just getting a new single channel? I've heard its (dual) not necessary...

...well depends what waste gate spring you have. The stock Jap. import wastegate spring is at 10psi, full open. I am not sure if your spring is for 12psi.If it is then minimum boost will be 12 psi, try an FD diaphram and it might work better.
