A note on injector sequencing

I used the hand controller module to set the base settings in my map (for ignition/injection/etc)

Now that I actually go back and look in my map, I see there is no injector offset between inj1 and inj2. they both have 0 offset and 1 skip.

this means they both fire at the start of each revolution.

Shortly I will be changing the settings
inj1: offset 0 skip 1
inj2: offset 1 skip 1

also, my staging injectors have skip set to 0. I imagine this might cause some issues (i havent seen any) as it tries to fire them at 0 degrees, and 180 degrees when rotor 2 comes into position.

The S5 plugin map i saw also had the same problem with inj1/inj2 offset, however the skip was set to 1 for the staged injectors.

I will post again after i try these settings, or if anyone else gets to it first, let me know how it goes. remember to take it easy when changing fuel settings like this to be sure its safe.

In regards to the staged injection, wouldnt that theoredicly give us a max usable duty cycle of 50%?

i dont think so. not quite sure how it would work.

i'd imagine if the staged injectors were supposed to fire at 2ms, theyd fire twice for 2 ms. making it seem like youre using less of the secondaries even tho youre firing twice. and once the ms reaches 50% duty cycle, theyd overlap ...

im not sure this is just speculation. havent tested yet

i was under the impression that if the offset is 0,the injector fires at 60* BTDC or wherever you have the trigger degrees before top dead centre set to as that would be the reference point and then fire the spark at the set ignition point..
