Not running good

Yesterday I got my car all setup and running using nyt's map. It started up and ran PERFECT. Then I went and drove it down my street, parked it real quick (didnt let it idle). This morning started it up and it ran like total ****. No didnt blow my engine, i had 36kpa vacuum at idle. So I called up Chris and we foudn that my spark plugs are bad... I replaced my leading plugs with some new trailing plugs because Chris said thats better. Note that im not running tailing coils yet because I need the bosch igniter. That fixed the problem by far, but still was not even close to as good as it ran yesterday. The idle is lumpy and almost like it misses. Even when I hold it revved up to like 2k rpms still you can feel a miss in there. "Anyone have a clue?

You can't expect your car to run perfect with someone elses map.. if your car started, idled and was able to drive using a base map, or map for someone elses car, concider yourself lucky.. you're going to have to do some tuning to suit your own setup.. lumpy idle and a miss/stumble could mean a very rich idle.. don't expect everything to run correctly until you get your trailing coils hooked up either .. I know it's possible for the car to run without them, however, concider that fact that nyt's map was also created with a working trailing setup...

by the way, at 850-900 rpm idle, on a tired 3mm streetported motor that pulls 72psi, I see vacume of 50kpa ...

You can also use the leading ignition coil and coil igniter, although it is far better to have 2 single ended coils for the leading sparkplugs on high performance engines. You can use the trailing coils, but you cannot use the trailing coil igniter. It requires a specific signal from the ECU with the Wolf3D does not support at this time.
I'm still trying to get my head around the fact that the V4 cannot use the stock trailing ignitors, when the V3 could. It just doesn't make any sense.

Pinouts are the same and the compatibility chart shows the same IGN outputs are used....WTF!

i thought there was a way to use v4 with stock trailing setup, im almost positive there is. I don't remember exactly tho.

i told you 30 times the map i gave you is for a STOCK PORTED ENGINE. you need to tune it, do you not understand this? Why youre driving around boosting a motor without tuning your map, or even SETTING YOUR TIMING is beyond me.

Whatever dude, this is an old thread and I talked to you about this way after i posted it. Plus I did set my timing, and the only time I boosted was a little over half throttle to like 2psi (if that).
