Thumbs up

Thats why the wolf guys state that FD ignitors work because they require only 5Volts on the trigger. I will design a simple level shifter and post the design for others to build for series 4 ignitors. The tacho works on your FD??....Also as I said if your spilit went out above 15 degrees from the lead, my guess is that the TACHO would stop and only T2 would work. This would cause issues with modified maps on Plugins for sure. This would need to be kept in mind for all those New to Wolfs.

Ok. I tried to create a new thread on it but I kept getting errors.

I found out how wolf plugin units drive the trailing. They have extra circuitry as per Wolf Australia.

As for the ignition outputs, they go 5v when they start charging the coil, and the coils fire when it goes from 5v to 0v.

Ok that means the S4 plugin must supply 12 Volts. It is good that you can confirm the trail edge firing of the coils. In my case the pulsewidth is 3.8 ms for bosch coils. Now I can see how the overlap is made. I will do the maths in a couple of days to work out the maximum split. I have started the design of the level shifter and it will be about 1 and 1/2 inches square.
Thanks nyt
