I need your committment ASAP. If you're not a car person, but have "car friends", let them know! Reason being is that we have just over month to reserve the track. If they don't get their 20 ppl, the date will likely be moved to the right or just cancelled. LMK if you're interested and I will put you on the email list.

Couple of my corvette buddies are proposing a PRIVATE track day at Willow Springs BIG TRACK on FRIDAY April 26, 2013. This is no speedventures or extremespeed event... this is a private event. We pretty much own the track for the day. This is great for drivers, because we limit the number of cars and also we pretty much do whatever the hell we want! These guys normally rent out Buttonwillow Raceway, but they wanted to change things up this time. 20 cars total... the ENTIRE DAY. You get all the track time you could ever want. There are no "run groups". It's very relaxed, you can run laps all day if you want or just chill and take video lol. Snack bar, tire shop will be running. They should have high octane race gas if you need it (110 octane leaded if you need it).

If your car is a track monster, great! If you're out to "test and tune" equally awesome. If you're just trying to see "what your car car can do" you are in the right place. It could be a Bugatti or Civic, we don't care!

One thing I want everyone to realize is that IT'S NOT A F*CKING RACE. We are not going to have official timing. You drive as fast as you're comfortable. Explore the limits of your car, safely. We will talk about passing, and driving etiquitte during our drivers' meeting. Spectators, girlfriends, kids are welcome. There are some pretty awesome places to watch the action at this track.

Please, only respectful drivers. No one that has a chip on their shoulder or something to prove. This is not the place for that. We are there to have a good time, that's it. Don't forget your go pro camera, helmet, and lots of water! This track makes for great video due to to the high speeds and elevation changes.

Great group of guys to hang out with. I've done 3 or 4 events with these guys, great time every time. Much better than your typical Speedventures or Extremespeed event. Everyone has a very different setup. I can't wait!

Hey alex not sure. We have to get 20 ppl before the vette guys put down the (huge) deposit. So far we have about 10. Once they pay the deposit we pay them. Pm me ur email dude.

We've had a lot of interest and the track has been booked. Now everyone has to send the organizer their money to claim their spot. Will update as I get more info.

Yeah dude.... unreal. It's like no one is ever in your way. It's so much fun, trust me. You do pretty much whatever the hell you want! Don't have to wait for "your run group" or worry about how many minutes are left in your session and all that crap. And you get to know the group of guys driving too, it's like we're all hanging out together. Loads of fun bro.

Dino!!!!! Yeah bro... no official stuff. Some of the guys bring their own gear to do that. We have at least one s2000 guy who has his own stuff. Man it would be great to have you out there with us. But hey... I will offer to time anyone who wants it. Stopwatch style. LMK!

^ Yeah Armen... it's very fast. The track is really wide too, kind of hard to see in videos and pics but when you're out there... you realize how much room you have to play with. Hope to get you out there too bro

Henry!!!! No way man, you should be driving!!!!! Out of all the guys with a "not super crazy" FD I think you ran some of the fastest times at Mazfest/SS. Please hit me up man.... you should be driving that day. And if not that day, some other time, give me ur email address and I'll put you on their email list.

my cars on its last leg with the compression numbers , but i think i can get a track day or two out of it. I am honestly not a fan of big willow, but 20 cars the whole day sounds like a good time to mess around haha

Damn... OK. I hear you. I'm not a huge fan either but it's still fun to get out and see how fast you can go. And yea.. the 20 car limit... is just awesome, perfect to mess around!

Anyway... four spots left guys.

 

I wish I was able to go with you guys. Big willow is awesome, just watch out for turn 9. I've seen too many cars go hot into it and roll. Stay safe guys!

 

Bummer man... yeah that track is something else. You can pretty much go as fast as your *****/brains will let you lol. Scary track though. I worked my way up to it. It's kinda weird, for most of the track, I'm thinking to myself "I know I can go faster"... and then I go "maybe I shouldn't lol". Yeah Turn 9 is scary alright... the lady at the paddock diner was talking to us about where the worst wrecks are and she said that part of the track is THE worst.

Good news is we all had a blast. We had THREE rx-7s there, all FDs. Two with LS1s and one rotary! How awesome was that! We got a lot of comments on the cars. The most common one, "what a cool looking car" lol. We had a lot of vettes (ZR1, carbon Z06, etc), mustangs, and a bunch of other cars. The only real casualty was an Evo X that blew his motor up, still not sure what the cause. Two guys went off the track, one just after turn 4 and another in turn 6. They and their cars are fine.

This is all we had that day. About 25 cars. THE ENTIRE DAY. Traffic was not an issue! No run groups, you can go out whenever you want and do as many or as little laps as you want!
