Why Buy an Fc ?
the better model FCs have 4-piston Aluminum front calipers and vented rotors at all four corners, with lightweight aluminum LCAs and rear hubs.
lightweight suspension parts = more precise handling with better feedback.
not to mention the support thru MazdaCompetition if youre a racer.
I own a FC and a S13 and the FC is by far the better sportscar, although both are fun to drive and each can be modded so much that they are beasts on track... both very good platforms to use for a buildup.

i have noticed that fd owners tend to be stuck up snobby bitches (with exceptions, of course). fc owners are too poor to be snobs

and you are right about the snobby thing. Most FD owners seem to think they are gods gift... and that any other car is lesser. Kinda like Vett owners (that is Corvette owners not Chevette owners).
yeah, ive noticed alot of fd owners are middle-aged men who are having an identity crisis.... now im all for anyone owning an fd who is really passionate about it, but alot of the time, that just isnt the case.... just like corvettes, there are more people driving them because of their status, than because of what the car is capable of.... and the sad thing is, neither car will ever be able to live up to its potential w/ owners like that!
fc > s13 any day of the week! 240sx's are the 21st century honda civic! they are just becoming a fad! a "trendy" car! fc's havnt hit that trendy state yet (and i sure hope they never do)... they are definently more popular now that 5 years ago (for those of us that owned thse cars 5 years ago, you know what im talking about! nobodymade parts for thse cars).... but if you really talk to fc owners versus s13 owners, you'll notice one big differnece..... passion for what you drive! we are devoted to thses cars... us rotary people are a tight knit community, which you dont find in "silvia alley"....

For someone like me (6'2" 215lbs) the FD was just too cramped. Less headroom than even my vert with the roof up, and seemed much tighter door to door as well. Of course the FD seems to have about half the trunk size of a FC (even though they are simular).
And lets face it, the FD plastics durability make the FC look like a Mercedez.

If the subframes and body is bent, it will never be made right.
Engines are pretty common and even a brand new re-manufactured from Mazda is less than $2500.

The sound. The brap brap brap that sounds like a two stroke engine. The revs. The insane top end a turbocharger can give to such a small compact motor. The feel... There's nothing like it. A 240 does not give you the same feel.
FC is a great car because parts are easy to get, TII JSPEC transmissions are a dime a dozen, 13B Turbo housings are easy to find. Parts are everywhere. Do you have the money to pay for it all? You gotta pay to play. If not, resort to an economical car.

Sorry to bust all you FC lovers bubble but they've been played out for a while now. Not nearly as bad as FD's or S13/S14's but still played out because of the whole drifter-wannabe fad. I've noticed most people into the drift/ JDM fad have no identity other than their car.
FC is the better street car to compared to FD (comfort wise) but then again the 240 might be the best choice if you can only have one car to suite all your needs.
Dave, contrary to popular belief, not all FC owners want a FD.
Anywhoot, FC>FD or 240 any day of the week for me. But what do I know anyway... I got rid of mine!!!
