3k to spend on a rebuild? on what car? if it's an FD, that's sketchy

in any case, consider sidepex in temple city. norman is awesome and highly skilled

-12:31 MOTOR SPORTS FROM SAN DIEGO. Just ask for the puerto ricans or
-Manny vidal up at the wheel store in ocean side.
-Lucky 7
-Racing Beat
-Mazda Trix
-Speed Machine
-La Fiebre located in Puerto Rico and maybe in Florida
-Rotary Shack
-Pine apple racing

And to answer your question on new brand new housing you looking at around 450 each or so from racing beat. That is a give or take price!!! Don't quote me on that though

None of those will help you for $3k!. Removal and reinstall is about $1500 alone. A reman is what $2k, $2.5k? That doesn't even begin to cover other parts (water pump, gaskets, oil and vacuum lines).

Get a reman from Ray Crow or a rebuild from Rotary Resurection. You will have to remove and install the block yourself. If you're lucky, you may have enough to replace the water pump, oil injectors, o-rings, gaskets and lines and anything else that adds to the expense.

I bought a T2 instead. the fd route would have been too expensive though i had 15k i decided against a car that would put me over budget after the rebuild and insurance and registration(not to mention DMV fees.)and why you ask? took a look at the FD in that body shop and it was AUTO(what are the odds!!!)so auto to manual and rebuild... i might as well have just bought a new one...

but im boosting now anyhow

i hope it feels good to PWN a n00b eh?

South San Diego. It's a two man team with excellent quality work that we can show for by the countless threads here in the west coast section, first gen section, other rotary and the 2nd gen section. I do a majority of the turbo mani's, porting, and engine rebuilds, my brother doest a majority of the intercooler fabbing, chassie mods, so on and so forth. We currently have Manny Vidal's 1st gen from the wheel store that just got a front engine roll cage to hold and support his radiator and fuel cell. And Omar's 2nd gen rx from North East L.A getting a custom front mount, ic pipes, and batter relocation. The noobs can get down with the fabbing. :-)

And for 3k thats more then enough to get a hella of motor rebuild which includes parts, labor and porting, and turbo mani through us, don't know about the rest!!!

PM me if you have questions. Going to be in barona this weekend so if your int he area swing through.

R&R Rotary is not Rotary Reliability and Racing. Two different shops. R&R is in the Inland Empire, RRR in Santa Ana.
