I would love to meet some other Mazda enthusiasts in my area (Los Angeles), but Socal 7s seemed to have gone stagnant. I saw the posting about MazFest, are there any other Los Angeles local meets going on?

If there is enough interest in resurrecting a regular meet I will gladly volunteer my time to organize.

 

I agree that there are a lack of meets in socal these days. I even went to a subie meet because there haven't been any worthwhile mazda meets.

There's (at least as of recently) an EVO meet at the Best Buy in Burbank (Empire Center) every Wednesday night around 8-9PM, a Nissan Silvia meet in Arcadia every Friday around 9-10PM that RX-7s show up to (733 W Naomi Ave). Anyone know of any meets in the Valley (like the old Northridge meets) on Thursdays nights? I don't venture too far out of 626,323,818, but I think there is also a weekly meet in Chino Hills at Chili's off the 71 that mainly consists of Gs and 350Zs.

 

I'll cut and paste some info from another forum (no idea how recent this is, but if you check it out report back). Don't shoot me if your *** gets busted at one of these.

Comments:We generally get about 20-30+ attendees on a weekly basis

Where: San Diego, Clairmont mesa blvd across from cheetahs the strip club.
Comments:A whole bunch of evos and rice meet up something around 50-100 cars.
Police Activity:Clairmont Mesa has very high police presence.

When: Thursdays
Time: People typically show up between 8:15-8:30

Comments: majority still mostly honda.
Their rules are:NO REVVING, NO SPEEDING, just come and chill. Look at cars and have a good time!!! Please people dont do anything stupid police chill at the AM/PM for Coffee
Police activity: 1 cop that comes just to check and everyone who sees him seems to leave immediately.

Where:In and Out Burger, Lincoln and Washington in Venice
Comments: VERY hit and miss.

Thurday night around Northridge/Gardenia (spelled wrong) their is a huge meet. All cars including some exotics and ricers. Exact location changes usually around Balboa

There's Eagle Rock car meets at the WalGreen's parking lot every Thursday night, 9pm and thereafter.

There are meets on Thursday in Northridge... I was there last week and saw only one other 7 around there. I'm gonna head out there this week, its a cool gathering right there, ya know?

monday is the pioneer meet on the "? " shopping center(ill find out the name later).. its off the 91 and pioneer, its huge more than 50 cars show, about 6 fd's boosted s2k's , a 500rwhp dtsn 210.. and the scooby's and ralli arts(evo's)

There is also a monthly RX-8 Meet @ LAX, go look in the west section on the RX-8 Club's site... (1'st Wed. Of the month after 8:00 pm)

 

Can someone please get this organized !! Im in , Hopefully its all rotorheads not really into the random cars showing up thing ...Then we can all share knowledge & showoff parts .
