That isn't always true. Many people choose to do their first two years at a community college to save money on tuition, or because they are going back to school after taking some time off to work or whatever.
I've met some exceptionally smart, hardworking students at my school (and yes, I've met some complete idiots too!!)

Long story short, don't assume things, or write people off because they go to a CC
