What can we do for you to come have fun at the track with us?

What would you like to see at events? What could we do to make you come to a event??we are trying to get more people out at the track so what could we do for you....like BBQ, free drinks ,give aways, comps, live music from a dj, grip events?
Do you want cheaper events with less seat time or would you like cost more and get more??
Please add what you would like for us to do..please keep it realistic..

Drift Social will be doing GRIP events in 2009 on HTM!!

Id say functional giveaways would be a dope incentive for registered drivers. Who wouldnt want a voucher for a pretty cool set of tires or something..or maybe a discount on a set from city tire or people like alhambra tire. That might be awesome. Just a thought....

Oh, btw...I'll get you that $40 next week thurs Adam

what would be a decent price though?? $250 per day? $300?? <--i think that barely pays for a full set of tires.

Cheap grip events and I'd be there for sure. I'd spectate too if there were free T-shirts and drinks.

track days are one of those things that people need to experience to enjoy. If you have never tried it, GO TRY IT! Ive done htm both drift and grip and its like a canyon road with out the dangers of the canyon! Most track days ive seen are listed between 110 and 150, not a bad price at all.

Having drinks and some food available is always a good idea, especially if the price is right. Give aways are a nice gesture but will probably raise the price of the event. But its amazing how shirts and stickers gather a crowd. all i can say is try something, and see how the people react to it. i love track days and will continue to go as long as i can.

Some people think track days are "too expensive" and rather go to the canyons, or street race.

This is not a good idea because of the following reasons:

- Dangerous ( a lot of people have crashed in the canyons driving fast at night time, some even have had serious injuries when they fly off the mountain or collide with
other cars. And believe it or not, animals like deer, coyotes, foxes, bears, skunks, raccoons, etc... I know of a couple people who have hit animals and came to a near bad crash)

- Cops are up there and can ticket you for multiple things ( speeding, racing, modified car, etc... )

Now some of the reasons why a track day is better:

- Much safer in a controlled environment with emergency personnel readily available.

- No speed limit

- No cops to ticket you for anything

- Best place to test out your car and learn it's limits

- Great driving experience will make you a better and more defensive driver on the street

- FUN FUN FUN

Those are the reasons why I think track days are totally worth it. But it's up to you, would you rather risk a $300+ ticket and even your life? Or pay about $150 for a track day?

+1

I'm sure more than half of us can afford the cost of a fun filled day at the track. Actually when I run, I cant wait to just end the day. SOOOOOO much driving! I get tired and worn but worth every penny!

if people really wanted to go, they would save up till they can get the most seat time possible, even if it is 300 for two days or so, and sign up with an racing organization, NASA, SCCA..or at least i know autocross is fun...i dunno thats IMHO..

Who cares about shirts and stickers and maybe a DJ. For the tires, i dont mind using used decent ones. I have used new and used tires on tracks, i never complained. Main interest for myself or a few guys are "cost". If we use our own vehicles than i would say half the normal price. Another way you can make it work is, Have a Raffle for @$5 and winners bring home some Royal purple stuff or one bad *** Jacket.. catch my drift?.

Way too much for one day. $100-$160 is what I normally pay, depending on which track I go to. Friday's are always cheaper than Sat/Sun, so if you're on a budget, look for a Friday event. Don't worry about tires your first time going out, learn your car and make sure it comes back in one piece first, then worry about things like tires/suspension/brakes.

Oh, and +1 to what Fris said. It's waaay better than paying for a ticket, risking you life, the lives of others, etc. etc.

On that note, we'll be going to Streets of Willow on November 14th with Redline. Shoot me a PM if anyone else is going and we can caravan up there together

bbq has been done before, didnt work out so great,

i think 100-120 is a decent price for the event

specials like the first 10 people that sign up pay like 90 would be cool too.

and mebe have a max roster of 20 drivers cos that = 2 run groups = crazy seat time

and events closer to home of course.
