^ Are you talking about the buzzer? If so yeah you can disable the buzzer. I have never experienced a limiter at 7500rpm in any S4.

In an s4, the buzzers starts at 6500 or 7000 i think. But my car wont rev past 7500, I had a s5 engine block last year and it was the same.

one of my friends got a 86 GXL, and the same thing appens at 7500rpm.

Theres no cut-off, it just stay at 7500.

On my Pport, it stays at 7500 and it start backfiring very hard, with 3-4 ft. flames

My TII is not limited.

^ Ionno man I have taken a couple of my FCs to 9k quite a few times. On the hill I got so used to not listening to the buzzer that I would hit like 9k and be like oh crap gotta shift... or those points where I hit 8k and know I should shift but if I did I would have to heal toe downshift in a second anyways so I just take it out.

One of my cars I have an RE gauge cluster that goes to 10k and I have watched it tack out to 9 on purpose more than once while on the freeway.

What a coincidence because I want your Pport! Trade my ECU for your Pport?

Yeah ionnno why your car does that and none of mine do. Although I have never owned an 86' so maybe that is what it is.

Ok so while Mutaku is in the Airforce I am daily driving his car.

Car is an 87 GXL

On the way home from work today I am rolling in 3rd. I get on freeway and I downshift to 2nd... floor it and watch it climb to about 7700 rpm and WHAM I get a rev limiter. So in a way I stand corrected.

I quite enjoyed this post. Mazda needs to invest more into the legendary Rotary. The possibilities from these engines are incredible.
