By my intricate rotary engine specific mathematical formulas, thats 441hp for a series 4 N/A and 558hp for a series 4 turbo.

Sources:
3 x air power
s4 N/A air power = 147hp
s4 turbo air power = 186hp

I'm sure the intake will help your automatic shift faster.

And here I thought it was common knowledge to simply cut up some 3" piping and throw a $40 K&N filter on a car....That's what myself and most the people I know did.

I ended up making my own CAI for my s5 by just removing the washer tank, cutting a hole, and adding a 6"x3"strait + a 90 degree to the end of my MAF. It was cheap and accomplished what I needed it to. I wasn't trying to get more HP out of it, I just can't stand that restrictive **** box intake they put on these cars. Having the cone help idle and throttle response while moving it outside of the engine bay helps on these hot ******* summer days to not suck in 175+ degree air from the engine compartment. I also painted all the stock and new intake parts with 500 degree cermaic engine paint to help with heat soak.

I keep hearing and reading that the stock air box is actually quite good at sucking in cool air as long as those panels infront of the rad support are still there. A few people have also told me the stock air system isn't much more restrictive than an aftermarket unless you replace the MAF sensor with something. I think it would be more effective to upgrade heat shielding over the exhaust to try to keep the heat from the ex.manifold (or headers) away from the intake manifold and the rubber intake piping. (This is all for a NA FC that I'm referring to) I have seen some forum threads where people use that shiny anti-heat tape and completely cover the outside of the LIM where it is exposed to heat from the ex. manifold. That seemed like a really good idea.

P.s. I realize I'm nowhere near you guys on the west coast but I found this when I searched "weapon R" =)

K&N drop in and some nice heat wrap + some heat shielding. Not much of an increase but it will for sure lower air intake temps

interesting intake improvement idea! Heat sheilding, tape and engine paint. I'll have to try it out.

The S4 kit comes with a plastic MAF adapter and either a SW filter or a Dragon Filter, and the S5 kit comes with what you posted in the first picture.
Sorry to revive an old thread but I just stumbled across the Weapon R Secret weapon intake and was just wondering what the differences would be between s5 and s4 when it comes to this intake. I mean, why wouldn't the s5 kit work in an s4?

No. S4 has a different style AFM than an S5.. so not interchangeable.

As far as I can tell from pictures, couldn't you just get the maf adapter for cones anyways and then bolt all that to the inlet of the tube? I'm thinking it would need another coupler but I have tons of those laying around from various other custom intakes on other vehicles.

corksport sells the piping for the intake and it works perfect for a s4 but an s5 needs slight modification to work
