Ventura County Rotary Owners? Show of Hands?

I don't see too many on the road, but let's get a show of hands oh how many VC owners are out there on jack stands or not!

Horse Thief Mile, its one of the tracks at Willow Springs and is setup like a Canyon run with lots of elevation change.

Im live in the Oxnard area by the Navy base...im currently in Afghanistan until June. Been saving up my money out here and have already got my new engine waiting for me back there. ILL BE NEEDING SOME HELP WITH MY FD as I am trying to get it ready for Sevenstock and HIN. It will be my first time doing a swap for a fresh, large streetport engine, adding a single turbo kit, v mount kit, and fuel system kit.

Was at Cali Speedway last weekend. Button willow on 4/9 and I think Willow in may, And if all goes well. Mid Ohio for the nationals.
I run with NASA.
I think I will be bumping myself up to the next class. Thats just like me though. Just get the car done, then change everything.

HTM is fun.. good drift track.

87TII. It's a weekend'r. Recently finalized installation of FMIC and Rtek7 1.8. It's got the porting, bigger turbo,...the basic HP stuff. Currently trying to iron out a light load low-2700 RPM hesitation. Wife and kids interfere w/working on the car around the clock. Should be road worthy soon. I can feel it in the bones it will terrorize some unexpecting motorists.

i have a local friend that has a very similar setup as you including engine management...we converted it to RHD T2 swap with a BNR Stage 4 turbo. It would be cool to talk shop when you are available.

Looks like there are some pretty decent locals around here..when the time is right we should setup a small meet up to get to know each other

I wouldnt mind helping out if I have time. I have done all that to my FD, I would recommend buying a new wire harness, a power fc and datalogit, some ID injectors and make sure you get a quality manifold with your single turbo (no ebay or rx7store). I have wasted alot of time and money going back and re doing things, its much less headache to do it all right the first time even it it means spending more money or waiting a little longer to complete.

Alright, sounds like a plan. Im kinda looking forward to meeting some other rotary owners in that area because the Navy just transferred me to Oxnard recently, so i don't really know anyone in the area. And I have already bought the Power FC and Datalogit while Im sittig over here in Afghan. I have a rebuilt Large SP short block waiting for me to when I get back. I dont plan on buying any turbo kits from Rx7store.com, Im pretty sure Im going with the GT40R kit from A-Spec tuning, and the Rotary Extreme V Mount kit. Now i cant wait to come home in June!!!

I'm in Newbury Park. Track only car though. I'm also planning on running the NASA Buttonwillow event in April. They will be running configuration #13 CW, it's the time attack configuration. I ran a 1:54.7 during one of my races in 2009. My fuel pump failed when I was there in 2010. I'm hoping to hit the 1:53's in April.

Are you planning on running high boost? The 40r doesn't flow anymore than a 35r up to 1bar, it just takes longer to spool and is a tighter fit between the shock tower and lim. The new gtx35r actually flows alot more across the whole map, it seems like the perfect turbo for a 450+ whp street/track car.

The rotary extreme v-mount kit is real nice, it's what I'm currently using.
