un-correctable no-front-plate citation?

Here's the deal,
A couple days ago I got one of the blue court courtesy notices asking for a bail amout of $10 + proof of correction for a no front plate citation, So, I'm ok, whatever.

But the screwed up part is today coming back from the Rickey & Roonie meet, I get a letter from the superior court saying the violation is non correctable and I have to pay $118.50 or appear before a judge.

The $10 i don't mind, but an extra $108? I have better things I need to buy.

So my question is... Has anyone ever had an issue like this, and is there some advice as what to do?

no, I just got it like 5 days ago
I already put a plate on too, but I don't want to pay an extra $10 on top of the $118

ya, that's what the first one said, but the second letter said to disregard the first one and that it was un-correctable

Get it signed off, then go to the clerk at the court with the first notice and signed off citation and see what happens.

Nothing to loose.

yup! they got me with no front license plate, tinted windows, no proof of insurance, and registration...OUCH!! Got a officer to sign off license plate, tinted windows, n insurance and paid about $306.00 for no registration... your pretty much contributing funds back to California if you pay that extra $118.

I agree with Teddyrx2 advice. or Bring a family or friend Po-Po, if you have one to tell them that they are messing with the wrong person. The laws are like the credit card companies. They try to screw you over with FEES...but ya its sign-off citation.

Please PM Fumanchu for any violations that needs to be signed off. Thanks to him, I was able to keep my Borla exhaust on my Vette.

look on your ticket... there is a small box on the left side that the cop can check off non- fixable.. that means he was a dick and you will have to pay the fine.. ive has it happen a few times
