turbo swap

Are you able to put a full turbo swap, sensors and all into an na body, and have it smog legal in southern california? I understand you may have to take it to BAR but will they allow you to do that?

Search! BAR requirements. i think you need to swap in a motor that is Newer and has all the Smog equipment for that motor and pass smog from the motors model year. to pass.

So im guessing if its an s5 body and s5 turbo swap it would work. But im not sure if they would allow it to be changed to turbo.

ok, so i just did my complete tii swap(tii motor+drivetrain) does this means if i add all the emissions+cat, it will be able to pass smog?

also i dont have paper work for the motor but its a S5 n/a with s5 tii transplant, and i have bought all the parts little by little from forum members and internet.
so basically i dont have any receipts or anything to prove its a newer motor, can it still pass?

what about if i send it to a shop to get all the emissions back will this count if i take that receipt and car to the chp?

If you want info about smog legal turbo swaps, I'd talk to hozzmanrx7. He's done it on one of his verts already.
