Troubleshooting near Sacramento

I'm also looking at towing to a shop, but it looks like the nearest are in the Bay Area and a looooong tow.

I have a 1986 FC with a relatively new motor that ran, parked, and now turns over but won't fire. I think it's electrical related to the ignition or fuel, but I have a heart condition and literally can't crawl around a car anymore.

If there's someone who can, for a reasonable cashy money fee, spend a little time troubleshooting, that would be awesome. If I can get it running (it's in storage now) I can ferry it somewhere I have someone who can work on it this Winter or Spring - but for now it's just costing me storage fees.

I can provide a lot more detail, been working on it for years, I just can't do it anymore.

Thanks...

i will probably be near there after new years, you can send me a pm with your information if you haven't found anyone by then and i will see if i will have time for a housecall.

i've worked on enough FCs in my life that i can diagnose them with my eyes closed(sadly i wish i was kidding).

wow, this hit me in the feels. A heart condition that prevents you from working on a car, if Sacramento was not so far from me i would do it.

Thanks for the offer and sympathy. Sorry I took so long to get back, I actually had the tab open but I stopped looking much after like 20 days.

Will PM and see if you still have a window after the New Year, I am currently checking info to make sure I'm not having a problem with the mid-90s Viper 300 alarm on the car.

I have a *pretty good* mechanical history on the car, and I remember *most* of what I did.

Dang, this is what happens when you only check your PMs for months. Sorry, didn't mean to ignore you! Sent PM.
