If you're just doing the Diff, it's way eaiser to just unbolt it from the halfshafts, unbolt it from the diff mounts, and unbolt it from the Driveshaft. From there the diff will just drop straight down.
It's easier if you have an impact wrench and a compressor. I've got one, but it won't fit in my 7. If someones got a truck, I could bring it.

Now that I think about it, are you just swaping pumpkins or are you going to pull the pumpkin and swap in the LSD?
Wait, you've got an NA right? I don't know if you've got the other parts, but if you want to swap in the T2 diff, you'd need a t2 driveshaft and half shafts. For your applicatioin you'd have to get a custom drive shaft.

Maybe he was thinking the driveshaft has to be popped off the diff, or maybe he needs to pop open the pumpkin. Either way, we'll all be there to help and make sure we don't make any mistakes.

You've never heard of the old hammer and chisel method? You create an indent on the nut using the hammer and chisel, then hit it again really quick and it almost always pops free any stubborn nuts. That's what most people do at junkyards when the nut is stuck or too big (ask wacky, no seriously )
Steve already has the halfshafts. He's going to need to buy a flange for the driveshaft (our driveshafts have removable flanges) and get it rebalanced too.

Guys, ARGH!!! I'm an idiot. i really am. I totally forgot, My GF bought LB Grand Prix tickets for saturday. so saturday is a no go. But Sunday (the 20th) i'm totally free. and andrew has confirmed he is coming on sunday as well. Also, to everyone that comes, i'm buying lunch at the local in & out right down the street! as long as there isnt 20 peeps lol. but just confirm whether or not you can make it on sunday morning around 10am. if you cant make it til a lil later, no problem. there seems to be tons of help so far.
And i really do appreciate everyone that is helping out. This will be like a cool mini-meet/ work on a 7 thing! lol. i remember years ago before i was really into rx7's i went to a thing just like this, but dave (guitarjunkie28, rest his soul) was building a motor and dropping it into some guys FC. there were a bunch of guys there and that really inspired me. i remember going home that night and finding my 84 FB on autotrader for $500
Frijolee, i want to send you a PM about the play in the axle. but i might not get to it til later tomorrow. But i will send it to you none the less.
Just confirm if you can make it on sunday or not. sorry about the schedule changes, i promise this is the last one!
Good night guys
