Well, I'm down. The guy with the Red Miata at this recent Autobacs meet swapped out my tranny, driveshaft, and diff a few years back. It actually wasn't hard, but we had a lift a few tranny supports and there were 2 of us.

I know things are way different when you're laying on your back, but it shouldn't be too bad. So when is this swap shindig going down eh?

i'm thinking this will happen this coming saturday. on the 19th. so clear your schedules guys. Ed has confirmed he is in, I think Himeh and Finishline are in also.

This thing will be a cake walk for sure, especially since i sort of know what i'm doing now. Also, having two hydrolic jacks will help a ton. Today, i couldnt use a jack to lower the differential! they werent allowed in the junk yard.

Andrew, you in also?

So the 19th? I think I can do that.

As far as my good guy list goes, that's just a list of peeps I've bought stuff off of. Me thinks I should start another one with all the homies.

I'll bring my jack and some tools too, just in case. Do you have an air compressor?

i dont not have an air compressor, nor do i have air tools. I got a hammer and a crescent wrench. Do you think we will need anything else to get the diff out?

so your saying to not drop the rear subframe? I think that would be easiest.

then unbolt the diff off of it, bolt the new one in then raise it back in there..
