Anyone know how much it costs to get a brake and light check certificate? Seriously.

My friends Supra is about to explode so he's scraping the bottom of the craigslist barrel for a dd, you know, searching cars & tracks with a $500 price cap. We've found some decent looking salvaged ones but am now curious about the cost for the above said check/cert.

I would call a shop and ask but talking on the phone scares me.

 

Brake/ Lamp check was about $70 when I did it last... I think it may have been a little more a year or two at a different place...

Cert money+ DMV back fee's if its out of registration.. + insurance...
