Stolen Car / Commerce Home Depot
Hi guys,
A friend of mine had his green Honda Accord Wagon stolen today from Home Depot in Commerce. I believe it's somewhere between a 93-96. It has a roof rack and Arkansas license plates.
Anyways, here's the interesting part. He went into home depot and had security review the camera's. They saw the truck that took his car. It was a White Pickup truck that had been outfitted with a tow arm like a repo truck. He said the video was not clear but it looked like a Chevy or GMC. The tow hitch hides away in the pickup bed when not in use.
Just wanted to put this info out there, never let your guard down and assume you will just be parking your prized RX for 10 minutes while you run into the supermarket, that it can't be stolen in that short amount of time. Im sure his car was hooked up and on its way out in less than 30 seconds.

Thanks for the concern guys. Like this economy isn't bad enough, now we got people stealing everything from everyone. Hopefully Karma will get them. I guess they figured no one would be out with the heavy rain.

Good thing I stopped daily driving my FD. It attracted way too much attention. Most of it was people telling me its a badass car and whatnot but you never know who has bad intentions. I keep the FD locked up in a secure building. Sadly, theres no respect for others property anymore.

Update: my buddy got a call from from the PD today.... I forget if it was Montebello, Monrovia or Monterey Park but anyways, it's not too far from where the car was taken. They recovered his car yesterday in perfect condition. He's gonna pick it up tomorrow. Neither one of us understand why it was stolen since it was dumped without even stripping it. He thinks maybe the tow yard is scamming and taking cars so people need to pay the impound fee's after the vehicles are recovered. The fee's are close to $400. Anyways, at least he's gonna get it back, unharmed

Thanks man. I saw the car today...... It's perfect. I don't even know why it was stolen really, since they didnt strip it. They found it not too far from where it was stolen. Maybe the thieves dropped it for a few days to see if it was lowjacked.
the only bad part is my friend was already home in Arkansas so he had to fly back and pick it up. But it's well worth it. It's a clean car.
