If you know anyone in the socal 626 area who has had their white eg stolen, this may help.
Car stealers are bad, even for hondas....

The reason why Honda's and Acura's are targeted is because of how easy it is to steal. The locks and keys to those things are so simple. You can make a master key so easy, the geico caveman can do it.
Don't label me as a theif, because i'm not, but after hanging around certain individuals you hear and see how things get done.

ditto.. me and a friend would go talk to some acquaintances and they would mention stuff like "yeah man i got this spoiler off a 240sx convertible we hit up " or "you wouldnt happen to know anyone with a tow truck would you? i know a few cars id hit up"... etc..
those situations where you just thank that you are on good terms with them lol
that honda thread isnt showing up for me.
Ive come to consider that rx7s, are not that popular, the 240sx crowd is getting popular that they are starting to get stolen more often.. and back when i had one, i choose it because not that many people had them...
With the Rx7, the general audience is afraid of rotarys, because well you know they blow up! lol..

No it's not Turbo'd
This is true, insurance on a true exotic (Ferrari F40 / Enzo etc..) is much cheaper than a FC / FD / 240, why?
If I'm a cop patrolling a neighborhood, and a call goes over the air, stolen Green Honda Accord, Lic. ABC1234, I can probably look outside the window of the doughnut shop, and see 4, while Ferrari F40, if I see one of those cruising bye, I'll investigate... As well as fencing an F40's parts is going to be tricky... So the rate of recovery of Stolen F40's is much higher than stolen Accords / FC / FD / 240's...
Although with fewer and fewer FD / FC's on the road that will make it easier over time...

3 years ago, when my good friend was purchasing his first car. He shopped around for insurance for a pre-owned 2003 Lexus IS300 E-Shift and compared it to insurance quotes for a similar 2003 Pre-Owned Civic 4 door through Farmers Insurance.
The IS300 was MUCH cheaper to insure with a similar policy than the Civic and the insurance agent specifically mentioned that (depends on company), insurance for hondas tends to be higher due to the high chance of theft and the type of owners than have them.
He ended up getting the car he wanted (and was a no brainer).
Moral of the story: Cheaper and less fancy car does not mean cheaper insurance always
