I searched the west forum and Steve's website and saw no mention of him tuning in conjunction with Seven Stock this year.

Is anyone interested in getting him out here to tune the weekend of Seven Stock?

IIRC, Steve tuned during the weekend of Seven Stock last year. I looked for the thread, but I couldn't find it. I don't remember which shop they tuned with...

Perhaps someone that participated last year will chime in.

I think it was done in conjunction with Seven Stock since Steve was going to be out here for the show...

Thanks for the clarification. I remember talking to you at Seven Stock but I don't remember if it was '06 or '07. I could have sworn you were tuning during one of those weekends, but maybe I am mistaken.

Anyway, I am hoping to gather some interest for a tune to possibly coincide with Seven Stock. Would you be interested in conducting a tune that weekend, or would you rather tune another weekend, since Seven Stock weekends are pretty hectic with all the events going on?

If you got him out there Thurs and Fri (Sept. 25-26) you'd likely get a good draw. Sevenstock is Saturday the 27th. I think 2 years ago he tuned at Rotary Reliability and Racing. You'd need to contact a shop like this one and see if they'd be willing to "host" the event, then start a sign-up sheet on this thread with "serious" participants sending Steve a deposit up-front!

 

I believed it was two years ago. I stopped by Sevenstock after tuning for a few mins while I was helping out rebuilding an engine at night.

 

RCCAZ, thanks for the input. While Thursday and Friday sound intriguing, I think it may limit some folks who work weekdays. I too already have commitments that week, so Thursday and Friday are out for me.

With that being said, I may contact some shops to see if we can set it up for the weekend prior to Seven Stock. If all goes well, people will be able to take their finished cars to Seven Stock vice trying to work around the event.

I will do some research and post later.

, yes Steve... that was Michael Bennet's motor and we're still in awe of how you managed to open up a motor, replace seals and reassemble without taking the engine out of the car. Thanks to your tireless efforts that night he as able to drive the car back to Phoenix the following day. We'll never forget. Thanks again!!

 

Wow has it been 2 years already since you tuned my car Steve?! I could've sworn it's only a year ago.

It was really nice to have finally met you and I'm ashamed to say that I still haven't done any of the stuff you recommended that I should do (check fuel delivery system, etc.). You probably don't remember but you backed off at 0.9 Bar b/c my fuel pressure wasn't stable and started to drop even though I had swapped in bigger fuel pump & injectors.

Hopefully I can have you take another whack at my FD when I revive her for the 10th time.
