state referee exhaust testing

how would one go about contacting a state referree for a 95dba limit testing so my car "complies" with VC27150 because i got a ticket for VC27151 which includes 2 things, one of them is that it needs to comply with 27150 which is the one that is about the 95 decibel sound limit. i have a bonez hiflow cat and a greddy SP which i know is smog/street legal because its greddy's most street oriented exhaust. i don't feel like finding a stock catback because i got my car with the exhaust and would rather just prove that my exhaust is in compliance instead of going back to stock.

thanks in advance

i know for a fact that the greddy SP systems are street legal. you should show them the exempt sticker or stamping (if it has it on the exhaust). they're good mufflers.

If you got pulled over and they said you need to go to the state ref, just go. Doesn't cost you a dime, only some of your time. Once you car passes KEEP THE PAPERWORK IN YOUR CAR. Make sure they put name, make, number for your exhaust on your papers too. It'll save you the hassle if you get pulled over again.

as a matter fact do luck i remember looking at the SP's muffler one time when had the car lifted and remember seeing the exempt stamping right on the muffler, THANKS A LOT for reminding me on that, when i see the state referee that will make things REALLY easy.

rotary turbo II-i wasnt required to see the state referee, i just need to "fix it" and see the judge at the court, instead im going to get papers saying my exhaust passes hand them to the judge, and walk away without any fines, and also i dont have to change my exhaust

The number to make an appointment for the ref is 1800-622-7733. My exhaust was under 95db but the judge told me that the officer put it as non-correctable so I had to pay the fine no matter what. Pretty lame. Good Luck
