Well, doesn't look to be any construction ongoing or planned in Carbon Canyon. Getting home eastward tonight was a pain (over an hour) but it was due to a temporary hazard - - fire truck parked in the eastbound lane, dealing with something or other.
I'll give an update Friday evening, too, so you have all your options open; I'll know by then if I'm joining in, or will just see you all there at the show.

I could just jump in somewhere along the 60 if everyone wants to avoid the canyon. More 7's = better. I drive the place every day twice a day anyway and kinda pointless to stop by the mobil if it's just my ride showing up there.
What are these other caravans doing? I haven't had a moment to really sit down at my computer for this, been mostly checking my phone whenever I have down time at work.

Sounds good, the simpler the easier the better. So lets finalize on this route so we don't have to worry about this or that.

Update list so far
1)Drifter288 - RX7 FD
2) Sarah7 - white FC NA, will join in at mobil station
3) fc3sfrank- white na fc as well
4) zero83- black FC
Lets get the word out on how the route is and see if we can get anymore to join 2 more days

im here. sorry for not planning it guys. i shoulda at least set it up so you guys could go. the wife is prego so riding in the 7 for extended periods is a no no. take the route that drifter288 posted. the 91 to 55 connector, and most of the 91, and half of the 55 are destroyed chunks of concrete. we took it last year and half the poeple paid the price(including me). its way too bumpy..
i will be going next year with a new addition to the rotary family. and ill make sure to set it up proper so we do not have anymore confusions.
have fun and se eu guys on the roads

as far as the canyon run, id avoid it. specially this time of the month, glen knows there is always 2 cops posted after the park in that road closed turn out. plus, its no gmr, has 2 hairpins, and a right, left, then right turn. and thats it. cant high speed through there since there is always some sort of traffic or slow poke on there.
but thats just my honest opinion.

Man, such a hard decision, as I'd really like to caravan in with you folks... but given my starting point and the caravan route, I think I'm going to have to pull a solo run. Y'all are literally circling around my place to the north and west, at a constant 10 miles' distance, for like 2/3 of your route, lol.
FWIW, I'm going to probably run this route:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...8&ie=UTF8&z=11
It's only 29 miles for me that way, instead of 50-60. Equates to more beauty sleep, and holy cow do I need that.
Bring list:
Sodas/snacks, cleaning supplies, car duster, folding chair w/umbrella, camera, sunblock & hat(!), money (!!), scale model, JCCS plaque ( ), pic disk I promised to Mickster, "Before" photos...
Oh, yeah, and the car.
Good thing I added FB bins some years back!
