solo2 / track events in norcal?
I'm looking for some track days or just scca solo 2 events to go around some cones. Possibly even a website with lists of them. My brother just got a Pontiac Solstice (not a bad looking car IMHO) and we wanna see how it will match up against the 7.

www.scca.com and look at the San Fran chapter. They have events all summer long. There are also events going on at Thunderhill and I believe Infenion as well this summer.

If you happen to go to a SFR (San Francisco Region) autocross that I'm at though. You can use my membership. But they are ***** about it and limit the number of nonmembers, I'm not even sure if they allow it anymore. So it better be a morning event. And there are certain basic rules about having your car road worthy and passing technical inspection. Sounds intimidating but it really isn't.

All of the SCCA events we went to in Stockton were wide open to people. You didn't have to be an SCCA member. The Mather Field AutoX was the same way. Those are all San Fran region events. Maybe they just aren't as strict about it once you actually get out of the Bay. ??

There have been several barotary outings to Thunderhill and Buttonwillow in the past year, they were pretty fun, you missed out. =p
